Paul joined Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A., as a director in January 2000, after 11 years of practicing with another Northeast Ohio law firm. During his career, he has served two years as corporate counsel for The Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Company and six years as assistant general counsel for the United Rubber Workers of America. His practice generally focuses in the areas of employee benefits, employment, and corporate law.

Paul has in-depth experience in the design of retirement plans, including defined benefit, profit sharing and 401(k) plans, as well as cafeteria plans, medical care spending plans and dependent care plans. He also deals extensively with current legal issues in the employee benefits area, including COBRA, plan terminations and nondiscrimination rules for pension plans, health and welfare plans, and cafeteria plans. Paul also deals extensively in multi-employer pension plans, including withdrawal liability. He has been actively involved in developing employee benefit strategies for contract negotiations, mergers, acquisitions, and reductions in force.

The Steubenville native graduated magna cum laude from Kent State University. He received his Juris Doctorate from The University of Akron School of Law where he was assistant editor of the Law Review and received a Board of Trustees scholarship.

He is a member of the American, Ohio State, and Stark County Bar Associations and is a member of the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce where he serves on both the City County Affairs Committee and Legislative Committees. Paul is a member of The Board of Trustees of The  First Tee of Akron, where he serves as Secretary.  In addition, he is a graduate of the 14th class of Leadership Stark County. Paul has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America (2010 & 2011).

Paul and his wife, Kim, reside in Jackson Township.  They have two daughters, Jessica and Jennifer.
