Nathan is an associate at the law firm of Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty. His practice is focused in the areas of general corporate law, real estate law, and general litigation. Nathan began his career at the firm in 2002.
Since starting at the firm, Nathan has been named as a Top Business Leader Under 40 by the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce (2007) and has been named one of Ohio’s Rising Stars (2009) by Cincinnati Magazine Ohio Super Lawyers – Rising Stars Edition ® and superlawyers.com.
The Dover native attained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude and was Valedictorian of his class. Nathan received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University, where he graduated with honors and distinction. Nathan is a member of the Ohio State, Stark County, Tuscarawas County, and American Bar Associations.
Nathan’s real estate practice focuses on representing clients in real estate transactions, including sales, leases and financing arrangements. Nathan regularly negotiates and drafts purchase agreements, commercial leases, Home Owner’s Association regulations, restrictive covenants, mortgage agreements and financing agreements. Nathan also assists general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and builders with mechanic’s lien issues, construction dispute resolution, and contract terms and conditions. Nathan also works closely with Attorney William G. Williams in the firm’s oil and gas practice.
Nathan’s corporate practice focuses on small and medium sized privately held companies. Nathan assists clients in all aspects of their business, including business formation, entity selection, asset acquisitions, stock sales, buy-sell agreements, minority shareholder disputes and closing down and dissolving their business.
Nathan also practices in the firm’s litigation section, where he focuses on general commercial litigation, real estate and estate litigation. Nathan is admitted to practice before the Ohio Supreme Court, the Northern District Court of Ohio, and the Southern District Court of Ohio.
Nathan is a trusted member of the community and has served on the YMCA Board of Directors (2006-present), served as President of the Board of Directors (2008), the YMCA Finance Committee (2005-2006), the YMCA Executive Committee (2006-present), the YMCA Board Development Committee (2007, 2009), the YMCA Board of Trustees (2008), and Secretary for the Board of Trustees (2008). Nathan also played a major role in the Renew the YMCA Campaign where he served as a team leader in the Community Gifts Campaign.
Nathan also serves as a committee member for the Young Professionals Network of Tuscarawas Valley (2006-present) which he assisted the Tuscarawas Chamber of Commerce in founding. In addition, he is a past chair of the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce Governance Committee for Re-accreditation (2006). He has served on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio (2005 and 2006). He is a frequent contributing author for the real estate section of the Times Reporter newspaper in New Philadelphia.
Nathan is actively involved in the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dover, Ohio where he serves as President of the Church Council (2008-2009), and has served on the Young People’s Ministry Board (2005-2006), the Personnel Committee (2006-2007), and served as Vice President for the church (2006 and 2007).
Nathan, his wife, Jennifer and their children, Taylor and Jacob reside in Dover.
