Dave joined Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. in 2008 as a director after practicing 9 years with another Northeast Ohio law firm.  His practice is concentrated in the areas of patent law and other intellectual property matters.   During his 24 year career in practice, he has served as Patent Counsel for the BF Goodrich Company.

Dave is a licensed patent attorney and is experienced in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, both in the U.S. and in foreign countries; trademark applications; patentability and trademark registrability opinions; infringement opinions;  internet issues; copyrights; trade secrets; contracts, including confidentiality, development and licensing agreements;  acquisitions and divestitures involving intellectual property;  and related intellectual property matters including  extensive patent and trademark litigation experience in numerous courts, including serving as a witness on numerous occasions.

In addition, he is a frequent presenter on various intellectual property topics to diverse audiences, including university classes, bar associations and trade organizations.

The Canton native received his B.S. degree from The Ohio State University, and his Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Law.  He is a member of the Stark County and Ohio State Bar Associations, American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association.  Also, Dave has been recognized by his peers, an designated an Ohio Super Lawyer (2004, 2005, 2008, 2009 & 2010) by Cincinnati Magazine.  Dave has also been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2010 in Intellectual Property Law.

Dave is an active member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association. Dave previously has served a term on the Alumni Board at Canton Central Catholic High School, and as a volunteer coach for youth baseball and basketball organizations.

Dave is a member of the Greenbriar Hills Homeowners Association in Jackson Township where he resides with his wife Laura, and their three children, Ryan, Jason, and Kyle.
