Ed is a director at Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A.  His practice is concentrated in the areas of patent law, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets and related litigation.   Prior to becoming a licensed patent attorney, Ed spent a number of years working as a development engineer in the plastics machinery and plastics processing industries.

Ed counsels clients in a wide variety of intellectual property issues, including performing patent searches, drafting and prosecuting patent applications, preparing right-to-use opinions, filing and prosecuting trademark applications and handling intellectual property litigation matters.   He frequently presents seminars on intellectual property topics to many businesses and trade organizations throughout the Northeast Ohio region.

The Youngstown native received his Bachelor of Engineering Degree and his Master of Science Degree from Youngstown State University, and earned his Juris Doctorate cum laude from University of Dayton School of Law.  Ed is a member of the Stark County and Ohio State Bar Associations, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Society of Plastics Engineers, and he is Chairman of the Admissions and Membership Committee of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association.  Ed has been named one of “Ohio Rising Stars” 2010 by Cincinnati Magazine Ohio Super Lawyers – Rising Stars Edition® and superlawyers.com (the up-and-coming young lawyers in the state).

Ed resides in Hudson with his wife Linda and their children.
