Altieri, Stephanie J.
Litigation Paralegal

Stephanie is a litigation paralegal at Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty.

Her responsibilities include drafting pleadings, preparation and review of discovery, trial preparation, and client/court contact. She also devotes much of her efforts to assisting our attorneys in the Creditors Rights practice section. Those duties include drafting of collection complaints, garnishments, attachments, and other post judgment collection remedies.

Stephanie graduated from West Branch High School, Beloit, Ohio  and Southeastern Academy of Travel and Tourism in Kissimme, Florida.  A Columbiana County native, she enjoys gardening, traveling and spending time with family.   Stephanie currently resides in Stark County with her husband Joe and their son, Joey.



Archer, Jessica
Corporate Paralegal

Jessica is a corporate paralegal at Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A.  She is responsible for all aspects of corporate formation, organization of limited liability companies and limited partnerships, and the preparation of a variety of corporate documents and other supporting materials.  In addition, Jessica performs on-line research, maintains corporate and limited liability company records for several entities, and acts as a liaison with the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office and other government agencies.

The Canton native received her B.A. Degree in Psychology cum laud from Kent State University where she was a Co-founder and Vice President of the Spanish Club, a member of the Psyc/Soc Club and member of the Kent State Chapter of the Golden Key International Honor Society.  She is a Notary Public and member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Stark County Bar Association.

Jessica is a volunteer for the YMCA Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canton and is a past volunteer for the United Way of Greater Stark County.




Bostrom, Karen L.
Marketing Specialist

Karen L. Bostrom is the Marketing Specialist at Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. She is responsible for the marketing, advertising, and community relations initiatives, at the firm.

Her background includes the areas of strategic planning, branding and positioning, new product rollouts, website management, research, community relations and advertising.   Karen received her BA Degree, double majoring in Art and Sociology from Wilkes University and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association School of Bank Marketing, held at the University of Boulder in Colorado.  Karen began her career at a Manhattan advertising agency, and comes to the firm after spending seven years as marketing manager affiliated with a Tioga State Bank, a community bank in The Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York.   During her tenure in financial services marketing, Karen was instrumental in partnering with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County, N.Y. to introduce to area schools “Save For America”, a web based, at-school program,  enabling school-aged children to establish their own savings accounts, encouraging children to learn about the importance of developing personal saving habits.

Karen has served on the Board of Directors of Mercy Service League, a non-profit organization supporting Mercy Medical Center and the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine since 2005; she served as president (2007-2009) and was co-chair of the Mercy Medical Center gala (2007-2009). She is past president and member of the Board of Directors of Business & Professional Women; served as a member of the President’s Cabinet for the Tompkins County, N.Y. Chamber of Commerce as well as a volunteer and member of the Tompkins County Friends of the Library.

Karen, her husband Brian, and their son, Anthony reside in Plain Township.




Carper, Dottie L.
Intellectual Property Administrator

Dottie is the administrator for the firm’s Intellectual Property Law Group. Among her many duties, she is responsible for the electronic filing of patent and trademark applications with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, as well as electronic filings of documents throughout the prosecution of those applications.  She also is responsible for entering and maintaining the firm’s Intellectual Property docket databases, and coordinates the payment of U.S. and foreign maintenance fees.
 
Dottie has a legal certificate and is a member of the Stark County Bar Association.

She resides in Magnolia with her daughter, Autumn.




Clawson, James C.
Executive Director

Jim joined Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co LPA, as the firm’s Executive Director in 1999, following 13 years as Senior Finance Manager of GE Capital where he handled both national and international finances. 

The Akron native is responsible for all operational, financial and administrative activities for the firm. This includes the management of operating and strategic decisions, financial and accounting functions, technological development, human resources, marketing, procurement and maintenance functions.
 
Graduating with a B.S., summa cum laude, in Accounting from the University of Akron in 1982, Jim went on to earn his M.B.A. with distinguished scholar status in 1984. He is also registered as a C.P.A. with the State of Ohio. Jim enjoys fitness, photography and computers.

Jim resides in North Canton with his wife, Pamela, and their three children, Taylor, Lindsey and Jonathan.




Elliott, April J.
Litigation Paralegal

April is a litigation paralegal at Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A., in our New Philadelphia office. She is responsible for assisting with all facets of the litigation process from the initial client contact through the conclusion of a case. She focuses primarily in assisting with insurance defense, personal injury, collection, criminal, and construction litigation cases. 

Before joining our firm, April worked for four years as a paralegal for a New Philadelphia law firm and for two years with a firm in Millersburg. The Strasburg native attended Malone College and graduated from the American Institute for Paralegal Studies, a 16-month certificate program. She is also a PACE Registered Paralegal having passed the Paralegal Advanced Competency Examination promulgated by the National Federation of Paralegal Associations and is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association.

April is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and an active participant of the Barrs Mill Church of God in Sugarcreek.

April resides in New Philadelphia.




Harris, Tiffany R.
Litigation Paralegal

Tiffany has recently been promoted to litigation paralegal, having been with Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. for fourteen years in the Filing Department. She handles general litigation, Court of Appeals, Domestic Relations and Juvenile Court matters, and Federal Court matters.

Among her responsibilities, Tiffany drafts and files pleadings, organizes larger litigation files, conducts on-line research for pertinent information, keeps statute dates, and prepares the firms hearings and filing deadlines schedules.

A graduate of North Canton High School, Tiffany received hands-on training in litigation, working closely with our attorneys.   Tiffany is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and is a Notary Public for the State of Ohio.

Tiffany and her husband, Scott, reside in the East Canton area with their daughter Madison.



Joseph, Tarra A.
Employee Benefits Paralegal

Tarra is an employee benefits paralegal with Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A.  She assists in administration for qualified plans, including profit sharing plans, 401(k) plans, multiple employer plans, Employee Stock Ownership Plans/Pension Taxation.  She is also responsible for the filing of IRS Form 5300 and/or 5307 for clients with these types of plans.

The Trumbull County native graduated with her B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice from Youngstown State University where she was a member of the Alpha Lamda Delta National Honors Society.  Tarra also was a Certified Volunteer Firefighter with the Lordstown Fire Department (2003-2005) and was an Officer Candidate, United States Marine Corps, PLC (2002-2006). 

In her spare time, Tarra is a coach for the Walsh University Dance Team.  She resides in Jackson Township with her husband, Bryan.



  Kraft, Mara R.
Corporate/Real Estate Paralegal

Mara is a Corporate and Real Estate paralegal with Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A.  Her paralegal background includes many years in securities, personal injury, environmental, insurance recovery and general litigation. 

After attending the University of Akron, Mara received her paralegal certificate.   Mara is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, St. Michael’s Church, and is an area Brownie Troop leader.   She resides in Avondale with her husband Brian, their daughter, Nicollette and twins, Chandler and Caroline.



Matheson, Linda K.
Probate Paralegal

Linda is a probate paralegal with Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A.. She is responsible for administration of estates and preparation of gift, income, and estate tax returns. 

The Canton South High School graduate has received additional training in estate administration and tax preparation and has more than 30 years of legal experience.

Linda is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and enjoys bowling, horseback riding, and spending time with her two adult daughters and three grandchildren. She resides in Massillon, Ohio.



McBurney, Machele
Registered Nurse/Paralegal

Machele is a Registered Nurse/Paralegal with Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty.  Machele’s  responsibilities include personal injury, estate planning, probate and litigation.  Machele has her undergraduate degree from the University of Akron in Nursing and has a certification in School Nursing.  The Canton native is a Notary Public, member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Stark County Bar Association.

Machele lives in Perry Township with her husband Steve, and children Meghan, Erin, and Mike.  



Morris, Cindy
Probate Paralegal

Cindy has been a paralegal for over eighteen years, the majority of those years working in the Probate field.  She has been at Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A., since 1998 after having worked for other firms in Cleveland and Canton.

Cindy is involved in virtually every step of the estate administration process, and has a wide range of experience in dealing both with multi-million dollar estates as well as releases from administration.  Since each estate is so unique, her duties vary with each case. Generally, her responsibilities include meeting with clients, drafting the initial probate documents, notifying heirs, devisees, and creditors of the probate proceedings, drafting correspondence, reviewing the decedent’s records, and assisting the executor in collecting other death benefits such as insurance and social security benefits.

She also collects information and assets for preparation of inventory and appraisal, determines the titling of assets, obtains federal tax I.D. number, and notifies taxing authorities of fiduciary capacity. Cindy drafts the estate inventory, maintains financial records of the estate, obtains tax releases, drafts the Ohio and federal estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns, prepares accountings for probate and trusts, assists in the audit of estate tax returns, and makes final distribution of assets.

She received her B.A., in Communications from Mount Union College and her paralegal certification from the Cleveland Paralegal Institute. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, and an active member of St. Paul’s Church in North Canton where she serves as a Eucharistic Minister.  She plays piano and enjoys music, reading, needlecraft, theatre, outdoor sports, and travel.

Cindy and her daughter, Jessica, reside in North Canton. 



Nolte, Cynthia B.
Geriatric Care Manager & Elder Law Paralegal

Cynthia is a Geriatric Care Manager and Elder Law Paralegal of the law firm of  Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths and Dougherty Co., L.P.A..

Cynthia is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and one of only three Geriatric Care Managers in the five county area including and surrounding Stark and Summit Counties.  She is committed to maximizing the independence and autonomy of seniors while striving to ensure that the highest quality and most cost-effective health and human services are used when and where appropriate.  She assists clients by paying health, safety and wellness visits to nursing homes, assisted living facilities and clients living independently. She also attends nursing home evaluation meetings, plan of care meetings and assists clients in day to day activities.  She aids clients in nursing home selection and other appropriate living accommodations and teaches patient advocacy to their families.

She is a certified trainer for the National Family Caregivers Association and has completed training to qualify her as a certified counselor for the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program.  She provides information and other health insurance services to people in Ohio on Medicare and Medicaid. 

She is an active speaker for seminars on such topics as communicating effectively with healthcare professionals, nursing home resident's rights, nursing home resident advocacy and the pitfalls of neglecting to plan for long term care.  She is actively involved in her firm's holistic Life Care Plan approach to elder law.  She prepares Medicaid applications and sees clients through the lengthy process of qualifying for Medicaid.  She is an advocate for the elderly clients she serves.

Cynthia and Rick Davis co-chaired the very successful first annual elder law seminar held in Stark County, sponsored by the Stark County Bar Association and the Ohio Area Agency on Aging, and she and Rick are regular seminar speakers for the Area Agency on Aging.  

The Warren Ohio native received her B.S. in Telecommunications, magna cum laude, from Kent State University and her Paralegal Associate Degree from ETI.  She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Stark County Bar Association and the Elder Law Committee of the Stark County Bar Association.

She and her husband James, reside in North Canton with their children Kate and Adam. 



Osborn, Kelly O.
Personnel Coordinator

Kelly is the Personnel Coordinator for the firm. She previously was employed at GE Capital for nine ½ years and held various positions including Human Resource Coordinator, Training Specialist and Special Account Coordinator.  

She is responsible for administrating employee benefits, recruiting, and new employee orientation. She plans and oversees special events at the firm and is the coordinator of the firm’s Public Affairs Committee.  Kelly also is the firm’s United Way Campaign liaison.

The McKinley High School graduate attended Malone College and received her Associate of Arts Degree from Kent State University. Kelly has received further training in Human Resources practices and Info Systems (HRIS).

Kelly is a member of the Stark County Human Resource Association and the Society for Human Resource Management. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Canton McKinley Alumni Association, is a member of Trinity United Church of Christ,  Perry Local Schools PTO and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.  In her free time, Kelly enjoys gardening, interior decorating, movies and trivia.

Kelly, her husband, Todd, and their two children, Christopher and Kyle reside in Massillon, Ohio.




Papadopoulos, Mary Helmick
Bankruptcy/Foreclosure Paralegal

Mary has been a paralegal with Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. since 1988.  She works as a paralegal in the areas of bankruptcy, foreclosure and banking. 

The GlenOak High School graduate received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Kent State University. She has received additional training in the areas of foreclosure, bankruptcy, and procedures involved in following the Uniform Commercial Code. 

Mary is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association.  She is also an active member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church where she serves as a board member of the Koraes Ladies Society and teaches Sunday School. Mary attends baseball, football, and basketball games in which her children participate, and is a member of their school’s PTO.

Mary and her husband, Tom, reside in Plain Township with their children, Thomas and Mark Helmick, and Nicole and Andrew Papadopoulos. 



Russell, Connie J.
OSBA Certified Paralegal

Connie is a paralegal at Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A., in the area of litigation and workers’ compensation. Her responsibilities include assisting employers in the defense of workers’ compensation claims. 

Connie has a wealth of experience in workers’ compensation law and workers’ compensation programming for employers.  She is responsible for maintaining personal contact with the clients and their third party administrators to assist in the daily management of their workers’ compensation claims. 

Connie has hands on experience with the defense of claims at the administrative level for both state-funded and self-insured employers, including permanent total disability claims, violation of specific safety requirement claims, and voluminous asbestos claims, as well as court appeals, mandamus actions, and appeals to the Supreme Court and intentional tort actions.  Connie is responsible for establishing, docketing and managing pertinent due dates; drafting pleadings, independent medical examination letters, violation of specific safety requirement answers; and preparing files for hearing and/or trial by using available resources such as electronic research, and medical records reviews.

The Canton native has over 20 years experience as a paralegal; she is a Notary Public for the State of Ohio, is a member of the Stark County and the Ohio State Bar Associations. 

Connie is very active in the community.  She is a member of the Women’s International Bowling Congress (1978-present), is a member of the Central Catholic High School Alumni, is a member of Lady Lions Club of Massillon and participates in the Junior Achievement Pilot Teaching Program.  She is a past member of the Stark County Golf Charities Ohio Open Committee, and is a member of the Women’s Akron District Golf Association.  She is also a member and past chair of the Glenmoor Country Club Women’s Golf Association.  In addition, she is the Past Chair of the Annual Buckeye Council Boy Scout Golf Classic Auction Committee, and is past member of the “Fore the Cure” Stark County Golf Classic Executive Committee.

Connie and her husband, Robert, reside in Jackson Township and have two adult children.




Saunier, Diana L.
Assistant Executive Director

Diana is the Assistant Executive Director of Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. She joined the firm in 2003 after being previously employed at Fleming Companies, Inc. for 25 years where she held various positions.

Her current responsiblities include managing the Word Processing, Office Service and Human Resources Departments, along with facilities operations. In addition, Diana is responsible for managing the Alpha Land Title Co., Inc., a subsidiary of Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. 



Scott, S. Kay
Estate Planning Paralegal

Kay is an estate planning paralegal with Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A.  She has almost 30 years of previous experience with other area law firms.

She is responsible for the operation of estate planning document assembly system, and obtaining copies of financial and real estate records. She prepares deeds, powers of attorneys, wills, living wills, health care proxies, and anatomical gift donation forms, completes life insurance and retirement plan change of beneficiary forms, maintains the firm’s estate planning docket system, and keeps inventory of all executed original wills and trusts.

Kay graduated from Jackson High School and attended Malone College. She enjoys gardening, reading, travel and antiquing, and spending time with her two adult daughters.

Kay resides in Jackson Township.



Sours, Courtney
Real Estate Paralegal

Courtney Sours is a Real Estate Paralegal with Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A.’s New Philadelphia office.

Courtney received an Associate’s Degree of Applied Business in Paralegal Studies from Bradford School of Business in Columbus where she graduated with honors.  Courtney has over 10 years of experience, is licensed by the State of Ohio as a title insurance underwriter, and is a notary public. 

Courtney assists with the preparation that is involved for both commercial and residential closings.  Courtney also provides assistance to the corporate section with various assignments and assists in the litigation sector.

In her free time she enjoys reading, playing piano and spending time with her family and friends.  Courtney resides in New Philadelphia with her husband, Alan, and daughters, Kenadi and Brynli.



Weber, Rebecca M.
Corporate Paralegal

Becky has been a corporate paralegal at Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. since 1998.  Before entering the legal field she gained experience in the banking industry and real estate field. 

The Washington High School graduate is responsible for all aspects of corporate formation, organization of limited liability companies and limited partnerships, and entity mergers and dissolutions.  She also assists the attorney’s with commercial financing and asset acquisitions.  In addition she performs on-line research, drafts business related agreements and maintains corporate and limited liability company records for several entities.  With her real estate back ground Becky also provides assistance to the real estate section with various assignments.

Becky is a member of the Stark County Bar Association and Ohio State Bar Association.  She is also a member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church. In her free time she enjoys baking, gardening and spending time with her family.

Becky, her husband Mike, and their children, Alec and Jordan reside in Massillon, Ohio. 



Wesley, Jenny L.
Real Estate Paralegal

Jenny is a real estate paralegal at Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. She is responsible for preparing affidavits, deeds, purchase agreements, etc., for our real estate section. Jenny also assists with the preparation that is involved for both commercial and residential closings.

The Uniontown native received her Associates of Applied Science in Legal Assisting degree with high distinction from Stark State College of Technology where she was consistently named to the dean’s list. The Lake High school graduate worked in the firm’s office service department for three years including her senior year in high school and while earning her degree.

She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association. In addition, Jenny is a notary public. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Jenny, her husband Brian and their two children, Brianna and Grant, reside in Massillon.




Wilson, Susan K.
Accountant/System Administrator

Sue has been an accountant with Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. since 1986.  In 1996, she took on the additional responsibility of system administrator. As an accountant, Sue is responsible for billing, accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, bank reconciliation, general ledger and generating financial reports.  In her position as Systems Administrator, Sue develops and maintains Access databases, maintains and upgrades soft ware and voicemail systems, sets up and troubleshoots firm computer and servers and administers the firm network.
 
The Perry High School graduate received her associates degree in accounting, with high distinction, from Stark Technical College where she was named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges. She has received additional training in Microsoft Access, Microsoft Windows and DOS, SQL Server and Crystal Reports, and is Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).  She has previous work experience as an Assistant Controller for Glendale Welding Supply and as a bookkeeper for Adcentive Group in San Diego, California.

Sue enjoys golfing, and cross-stitch. She is an avid sports fan who enjoys watching the Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers and Indians as well as college basketball and football. She is a member of the Canton Chapter of the Executive Women’s Golf Association and serves on the board as Treasurer and Communications Chair, which includes maintaining the chapter’s website.

Sue and her husband, Fred, reside in Canton.



Wolf, Marti B.
Litigation Paralegal

Marti has recently joined Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty as a litigation paralegal.  Marti has over 15 years of experience in the legal field.  Her responsibilities include drafting pleadings, preparation and review of discovery, trial preparation, client/court contact, to request and organize medical records, accident reports and photos, file summaries and attorney report preparation.   She also prepares settlement demand packages concerning personal injury cases for insurance adjustors.

Marti is an Indiana native and graduated from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis.  Marti enjoys spending time with her family and watching the Cleveland Indians.  She resides in Hartville with her husband Dan, her son Kyle Barta, her two stepchildren, Justin and Jade Wolf.  She also has one adult daughter, Brittany Barta.  



Yeaman, Bonnie J.
Employee Benefits Paralegal

Bonnie is an employee benefits paralegal with Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. She assists in administration for approximately 40 qualified plans, including profit sharing plans, 401(k) plans, money purchase pension plans and fringe benefit plans. Some of her duties as a third-party administrator involve annual testing for each plan, such as nondiscrimination testing and top heavy testing. In addition, she is in charge of preparing for each plan, Internal Revenue Service Forms 5500, Summary Annual Reports, and Quarterly or Annual Participant Statements. It is also her responsibility to prepare and distribute election/waiver forms for terminated participants, allocate plan forfeitures and to prepare and process forms necessary for hardship withdrawals and loan requests

The Stark County native has an extensive accounting background, including serving as Controller/Human Resource Director for Clarke Ceramic Corporation. 

Bonnie resides in Massillon, where she enjoys spending time with her daughter Suzi and grandchildren Cassidy and Zachary, gardening, reading and sports.
