Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9

On November 14, 2016, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) released a revised version of the Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9. The current form remains valid until January 21, 2017.  But starting on January 22, 2017, all employers must begin using the revised version in order to remain compliant with the I-9 regulations. Under the I-9 regulations, employers are required to have each member of its active U.S. employees complete a Form I-9 upon hire. Employers are also required to retain these forms for its active U.S. employees, as well as for terminated employees pursuant to specific retention rules.  The revised version of the Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9 can be reached by clicking the following link https://www.uscis.gov/i-9 .
