Callahan II and Nathan Newcomer. “The recipients of these awards represent the characteristics exemplified by our late founding attorney, Sam Krugliak, whom this annual scholarship honors,” said Director, Ronald W. Dougherty, member of the firm’s Scholarship Committee. “We believe their academic achievements and deep commitment to civic involvement, along with the strong desire to practice in the area after completing graduation, are commendable.” The scholarship is awarded annually to assist law students who exemplify the firm’s ethics and who intend to practice law in any one of the geographic regions served by the firm within the counties of: Stark, Wayne, Tuscarawas, Carroll, Summit, Holmes, Mahoning or Columbiana.
Michael T. Callahan II, a Summit County native, received his B.A. Degree in Economics and is currently a Juris Doctor candidate at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law where he is an Associate Editor of the Ohio State Business Law Journal.
Nathan Newcomer, a Stark County native, received his B.A. in Business Management from Maranatha Baptist University and currently is a currently a Juris Doctor candidate at The University of Akron School of Law.
