KWGD is pleased to announce that Director Stephanie A. Lehota is now a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation (NELF). NELF is the only organization approved by the American Bar Association to offer certification in the area of elder law. Certification in elder law – one of the fastest growing fields in the legal profession – will provide a measure of assurance to the public that the attorney has an in-depth working knowledge of the legal issues that impact the elderly.
Ms. Lehota’s practice is concentrated in the areas of estate planning, trusts and probate law, elder law and special needs planning, which includes the drafting of wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts and powers of attorney, assisting with the administration of trusts and estates, and advising clients in the areas of Medicaid and asset protection planning.
Ms. Lehota is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the Ohio State Bar Association. She is also VA-accredited through the Department of Veterans Affairs and is able to represent veterans and their families with planning related to veteran’s benefits. She received her B.A. from the University of Delaware and her Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law, J.D., magna cum laude. She is Listed in The Best Lawyers in America® “Ones To Watch” (top young lawyers) and has been honored in Ohio Rising Stars (top lawyers under 40) by Ohio Super Lawyers.
